How to Edit an Existing Master Data Record
Locate the Record to Edit: Search for and select the record you want to modify.
Click on ‘Edit’: Click the Edit option to open the record for modification.
Make Necessary Changes: Update the required fields with the new information.
Review and Submit: Carefully review your changes and submit the edit request.
Await Approval: The edited record will only be used after approval from the designated authority. Until then, the previously approved data will remain in use.
Example:
If you're editing a Vendor record to update the contact details, locate the vendor, click Edit, make the necessary changes, and submit for approval. Once approved, the updated contact details will be used, and you can track all changes made to that record.
